THE EDUCATION PROJECT NEEDS YOU
Ozone House’s THE EDUCATION PROJECT (in partnership with WISD), ensures that students affected by homelessness enroll, attend, and succeed in school. Last year The Education Project helped 1,154 students in Washtenaw County.

The Education Project will supply holiday gifts to approximately 500 students identified by the Washtenaw County schools this holiday season.

The link above connects you directly to hands-on holiday volunteer opportunities in December. Available hours are weekdays. If you are interested in volunteering as a group, please contact Jessica at jstephenson@ozonehouse.org .

Interested In Becoming a Volunteer Crisis Line Counselor?
Ozone House is seeking passionate volunteers to respond to crisis phone calls, texts and live chats.

Why volunteer?
  • Make a difference to young people in crisis in our community
  • Gain excellent crisis intervention training and experience
  • Be part of an organization that advocates for youth and their families
  • Meet other volunteers with the same interests
  • Learn about social justice

Crisis Line counselors listen and provide critical information, referrals, and crisis intervention to youth and families struggling with such issues as family conflict, runaway episodes, homelessness, suicide, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, sexual orientation and gender identity, and other crises.

Crisis Line Volunteers counselors complete a 40-hour training. Once completed, volunteers commit to one 4-hour shift per week for 8+ months .
Our next Crisis Line volunteer training session will be held for invited trainees in January. Fill out the application below, today!
