Kansas Gas Service

Did you know that Kansas Gas Service is the largest natural gas distribution utility in Kansas, providing safe, reliable natural gas to more than 648,000 customers in 360 communities. Of those 6,000 are in McPherson.

Katie Bowers, community relations manager, Brian Rush, supervisor, and Lauren Clary, market development shared information during Chamber Connections. We learned that safety is at the forefront of every decision they make, and system integrity is a critical component of their safety program. Kansas Gas Service has spent millions on pipeline system improvements in Kansas to keep employees, customers, and the communities they serve, safe.

Bowers provided information about several weatherization products that you can add to your home, tips to stay warm this winter, and the Share the Warmth program they partner on to assist those in need.

Natural gas, distributed by Kansas Gas Service, is an efficient and inexpensive source of energy, and it is an important part of the energy mix to keep your family comfortable and warm! Peace of mind means “Natural gas is reliable in the most challenging weather conditions, including as a backup power source. It helps lighten the load on the electric grid and is the perfect partner as a backup for renewable energy sources.” Find out more on their website www.kansasgasservice.com

And the GREAT news is that average US Natural Gas bills are expected to decrease this winter compared to last year according to a report from the Energy Information Administration.
