Happy December, Casper,

First off, thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual Advance Casper x Visit Casper Christmas Open House. It was great to come together and celebrate the folks that push Casper forward. Truly couldn't have asked for better company!

As we close out 2023, I am incredibly proud of this community and our unwavering efforts to grow Casper. From business founders and local leaders to my team and the residents that represent the spirit of our city; we have the best people invested in writing Casper's narrative. & it shows. Our place in the West continues to be unforgettable because of you and the way you pour purpose into the town we call home. & for that I thank you.

2024 is bound to be a big year for economic development in Casper. We're looking forward to the partnerships, expansion, and investments that lie ahead. But, until then, enjoy the holiday season with your family and friends.

Here's to hoping the snow falls, your eggnog is poured stiff, and the North Pole crew hangs around Wyoming a little longer!

1. MRG Returns $11M+ Back to Natrona County

It’s hard to deny how much this MRG brings to our community when you see these stats!

2. Hogadon Basin Ski Area Now Open

Our local ski hill is officially open on Casper Mountain! Hogadon Basin Ski Area celebrated their opening weekend last week, and we can't wait to hit the slopes soon. There may be only a few runs open as of now, but just wait until our Wyoming snow graces the mountaintops. It's bound to be an epic season; whether you're a die hard or more of the apres kind. Hogadon Basin's normal operating hours are Wednesday - Sunday 9:00am - 4:00pm, with night skiing 3pm-8pm Fridays and Saturdays. Meet you there!

3. Local Businesses Expand into Downtown Casper

Two of Casper's most beloved local brands are putting down roots in the heart of Casper; Blue Ridge Coffee & Bookin' It Wyo. Bookin' It Wyo, the charming mobile bookshop that took the streets this summer, set up shop at 118 E. 2nd St. (across from Mustard Seed) at the end of November. While Blue Ridge Coffee has plans to open an additional location by early 2024 at 200 E. 2nd St., on the corner of Second and Wolcott.

We're thrilled to see the local Casper business landscape evolve with purpose and bring more character to our community. Congrats!

Lady Folk is a copywriting and creative studio based in the wilds of Wyoming.
