Greetings!

Holiday greetings from Challenge Air for Kids and Friends.

This year has been one of many challenges. From our inception in Rick Amber’s courageous heart and one small plane, overcoming challenges is what Challenge Air’s mission has always been about – it is what we do and what we help our kids across the country to do. We will overcome the challenges of 2020 and 2021, and then fly further than we ever have before.

Thank you for your commitment to this mission and for your continued support. I hope that you find much to be thankful for as well, and I wish you blessings for your holiday season. I also invite you to make a year-end financial gift to Challenge Air. Set this mission up to well navigate both the real challenges and the real new hopes of the year to come. We are counting on you. And we promise that we will be flying again soon.
Thank you for being a difference-maker in the lives of our kids with special needs!  Please click on the donate button to make your gift or visit the website at www.challengeair.org.

Happy Holidays,

Celebrating children with access to adventures
We are so excited to be a recipient of the WAWOS Wishes directed gift program.

Thank you @wawosorg for the recognition and the $2500 in support of our mission to build confidence and self-esteem in children with special needs through the gift of flight.
WAWOS is a nonprofit that celebrates children with physical differences and delays with their cool free walker capes, and advocates for access to adventure with this generous directed gift program.

It is an honor to receive this gift. We look forward to making a difference in the lives of children with special needs in 2021.
An Icon in Aviation
This month, the aviation industry said goodbye to a record-setting test pilot, Chuck Yeager.

Here Chuck is pictured with our Founder, Rick Amber, in 1996 when Rick was given the Humanitarian award for his work with Challenge Air.

The award was presented by General Chuck Yeager.

Pilot Spotlight
Meet Volunteer Pilot, Mark Stapleton
"My first Challenge Air experience was the first event at Heavens Landing. My funniest memory was when I was flying there, and my copilot said “I want to go back to America!” When I was at McKinney the next week that had already spread as a legend LOL."

"My second favorite memory is my Buddy Cole in Chattanooga. He flew with me one year and the next year wore his blue shirt, his blue shoes and blue glasses to match my plane. He and his parents are a joy to fly. When he saw me the second year he called out and ran to see me and gave me a hug. That makes it all worth it."
Mark has been flying since 2004. He got his private instrument license 8 months later. You will find him in a 1972 Cessna 210 where he loves to fly in the mountains and near the ocean. "Really anywhere you fly is fun!"
Thank you for your time and generosity Mark!
"It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air."
