OUR MISSION:
Greater Hayward House of Hope is a rehabilitation ministry that helps men overcome life controlling addiction issues

Our strategies include:
1-year residential program: Addressing spiritual, relational, addiction recovery and job readiness needs through programing and mentoring relationships.
Jail ministry: Helping inmates transition to successful life upon release through healthy relationship building, addiction recovery resourcing & moral instruction.
Weekly support group: Facilitating a support group for those who struggle with addiction and life controlling issues in a faith-based setting.
Workforce development: Facilitating a trade skills program in which participants are trained to meet regional employer workforce needs. This program is a core component of our residential program, and it’s open to non-residential candidates.
"OVERCOMERS" Weekly Recovery Meeting
Thursday nights at 7:00 pm | Spider Lake Church (Main St. Campus)

1st HOH Graduate -- Ryan Bollig

Ryan has overcome many challenges in his life. New treatments have assisted Ryan’s in finally controlling the symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis, giving him opportunities. Recently, by the grace of God, Ryan has overcome decades of life controlling substance addictions.

Ryan began paying off his debts and obligations as soon as he entered the House of Hope. After 10 years of being unable to drive, he finally has his license and a vehicle to use.

Ryan is now becoming a volunteer, helping men in the house of transportation, leading morning sessions and helping occasionally with the overnight watch position.

It is truly amazing to see God transform Ryan’s life, giving him a new outlook on life, which is now full of possibilities. It will be exciting to see the blessings God has in store for this man of God.
Quenching our inner hunger – John 6:35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

Will we stop trying to feed our inner hunger with things that do not satisfy? Or will we turn to God and ask Him to feed us the bread of life and the satisfaction that He can bring?

The Joy of Volunteering
“My experience volunteering for the House of Hope has enriched my life in many ways. It has opened my mind and understanding of the daily struggles that program participants face, it has allowed me to get to know the participants and work side by side with them in our fundraising efforts. It has also opened up my world to friendships and relationships with awesome people in my community who I would not have gotten to know if it hadn’t been for my volunteer role at the House of Hope. I encourage everyone to consider volunteering with us – the opportunity is truly a gift from God.” --Volunteer, Nicole Rude
