The nursery is stocked with festive favorites to help you deck the halls: Christmas trees (for the first time ever!) fresh greenery (garland, wreaths & more) poinsettias and seasonal blooms are all in-store.

Wishing you a merry Christmas and happy holiday season!

Scents of the Season

Fragrant greenery has arrived from North Carolina and Oregon! Garland is available by the foot or roll to decorate railings, posts and doorframes. Wreaths of Fraser & noble fir, cedar, juniper & boxwood are available in a variety of sizes. Christmas crosses, swags, centerpieces and greenery bunches are also in stock.

Fresh Fraser Firs

This year we've added Christmas trees to our list of greenery offerings! We received a shipment of beautiful 7 to 8 foot Fraser firs this week. Come by the nursery and let us help you select one to enjoy in your home this holiday season!

Classic Christmas Blooms

Poinsettias add so much color to homes, businesses and our greenhouse each December. They've also come a long way from the traditional red! We have an array of color choices: bright white, cream, yellow, several shades of pink, orange and a variety of reds. Poinsettias are long-lasting and require minimal care. Follow these basics to easily enjoy poinsettias this season:

> Poinsettias prefer bright, indirect light but will tolerate low light for short periods. Avoid placing them in extremely sunny windows.

> Soil should be kept damp but not soggy. Check daily and add water when the soil surface feels dry. Empty excess water from trays and foil wrappings (don't let the plant sit in water).

> Poinsettias are not cold tolerant so protect them from temperatures below 50 degrees.

> Shield poinsettias from hot and cold drafts: avoid placing them near heat vents and fireplaces or cold windows and doorways.

Poinsettias aren't the only choice for holiday blooms; there are other winter-flowering plants that can be used to bring the garden indoors for the season:

Christmas Cactus

Bright and cheerful, as well as low-maintenance. Pair with ferns for interesting contrast. Grow in bright indirect light or a sunny window. Water well when soil is dry to the touch. Available in several colors and sizes.

Amaryllis & Paperwhites

In stock with buds that will open over the next few weeks. Amaryllis have large showy flowers and paperwhites are very fragrant. Keep in a cool, shady spot to slow flowering or a warm, sunny spot to speed flowering.

Bulbs for Forcing & Planting

Now's the time to plant bulbs in the garden for blooms next spring, and we have a good selection in-stock (daffodils, hyacinths, lilies, tulips and more). Paperwhites and amaryllis can be 'forced' to bloom indoors for the holiday and winter season and their flowers will brighten those dreary winter days.

Waxed amaryllis- a great gift idea for the plant lover on your list- are also in stock!
