Once again, it was so good to see people in the building last Sunday! Someone remarked this week that even though we are the same people, we have ALL changed from our experience with this pandemic. That resonates with me... we ARE different, and we certainly need to be aware of the changes in our own selves as well as the changes in others. We have to remember to be gentle with one another and relish every second we have with one another.
Last week, I preached about God calling us out of our comfort zone. There are three things I'm personally dealing with in my own life that are taking me out of my comfort zone, so I figure that means that some of you are as well. How about we commit to keep each other in prayer as we navigate the Life zones that God leads us into? How about we commit to lifting each other up and encourage each other? I believe GOOD will come from us following where God leads us!
Speaking of that, the message this week is entitled, Touching Jesus Changes Everything! Over and over I'm reminded of how my life could have been a lot different under different circumstances. Though I'll never know how exactly it would have been, I do know this: touching Jesus, and even more importantly, having Jesus touch me, has made all the difference! If you'd like to read ahead, check out Ephesians 2:11-22 (Message) and Mark 6:30-34, 53-56 (Message).
I look forward to seeing you either in person or online this Sunday!

Rev. Tim has multiple skills/ministries! Last week, he came out and disinfected our sanctuary to help keep us all safe from Covid 19! The "fog" method is in addition to regular weekly cleaning and can reach places we may can't reach! Thank you so much, Rev. Tim!!!

Creator, God of Love and hope may we your people always have hearts full of thanks. Thanks for all the blessings in our lives; the blessings of family, friends, our MCC community, the very air we breathe, and for life itself. May we forever be mindful of your unconditional love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Lord let us love just as you do, being people of patience, kindness, humility, justice, and truth.
In a world where there is often division, unkindness and strife help us to remember that You are still moving in and through us, Your people, and that Your love never changes.
May we be vigilant and prayerful, always holding on to the hope we have in You. Hope of a future filled with kindness, peace, and justice for all of Your children regardless of the color of our skin, the depths of our pockets, who we love, or where we were born. May we never forget that Your Spirit lives within us. Give us the courage and strength to stand up for all that is right and just.
We ask all of this in your many wonderful and beautiful names. Amen.
