TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE COMMITTEE SOLICITING PILOT PROJECTS FOR INCLUSION IN THE NRG UG1 TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE CENTER APPLICATION

The NRG Oncology Translational Science Committee is soliciting one page proposals (with Specific Aims) for pilot projects to incorporate into their “Network Group Integrated Translational Science Center” application due in February 2025 (RFA-CA-24-035: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-CA-24-035.html).

As stated in the RFA, the goal of the pilot projects is “…to enable collection of preliminary data required to effectively incorporate specific translational science studies into late phase, definitive NCTN trials.”

The maximum duration of the projects is six years but funds are limited. Projects involving innovations are of greatest interest but possible projects may also include grants that just missed being awarded or aspects of currently funded projects. Collaborations with other NCTN Groups, Cancer Centers, SPORES, etc. to transition translational science discoveries or early phase trial results into later phase NCTN trials are encouraged.

Please notify us immediately if you intend to submit a pilot project and indicate, in general terms, what the project will be. One page proposals with Specific Aims are due December 30th. Completed 4-5 page final proposals (with rough budget) are due no later than January 20th. Proposals will undergo review and approximately 3-5 will be selected for inclusion in the grant application. The deadline for the completed application is early February.

Please send immediate notice of your intent to submit a project to: Adam Dicker, MD, PhD (adam.dicker@jefferson.edu).
