As the radiant light of Easter still warms our hearts, we’re reminded that this is more than a single celebration—it’s a call to live in the glow of resurrected hope every day. In the coming week, let us carry that light into our neighborhoods, our schools, our workplaces, and, most importantly, into one another’s lives. Whether it’s a simple phone call to check on an elderly neighbor, a shared meal with someone who might otherwise be alone, or a moment of prayer lifted up together, each act of kindness reflects the promise of new beginnings that Easter brings. When we choose compassion over convenience and generosity over routine, we become living witnesses to the love that conquered darkness and continues to shine in our community.

Together, we have an extraordinary opportunity to serve with open hands and open hearts. From volunteering in our food pantry and tutoring programs to strengthening our outreach ministries and supporting local families in need, every one of us has a unique gift to offer. Imagine the ripple effect when each person gives just a little bit of time or talent—friends sewing blankets for the homeless shelter, families gathering care kits for those starting fresh, neighbors planting flowers around our community center to brighten someone’s day. Let us commit to walking this path side by side, offering practical help and heartfelt encouragement. In doing so, we not only honor the miracle of Easter but also build a stronger, more loving community where everyone can flourish.

We look forward to worshipping and serving with you and your family,

+The Clergy and Staff of Trinity+

Fat-Quarter Quilt Class

If you would like to learn the basics of quilting, join the Trinity Quilt Guild on Saturday May 17 from 9 am to 1 pm to learn how to make a fat-quarter quilt. Fat-quarters are material pieces roughly 18 inches by 21 inches. There are several simple quilt patterns that use fat-quarters with a minimum of cutting and sewing. We will be making lap-size quilts to donate to Youth Services to give to the young people they serve.

Because the patterns are very simple, this will be an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of quilting if you have never made one. Once we make the quilt tops, we can use Mother Cheryl’s long arm machine to do the quilting. So if you’d like to try out long arm quilting, this will be a chance to do so.

Please let Nan Kemp (npkemp@cox.net) know if you would like to attend and if you have a sewing machine you can bring. If you don’t have a machine you can bring, we will have a couple of machines available. if you are interested in making a quilt top at home instead, come that day to get a pattern and pick out some fat-quarters.

Request for Active Military Service Members Recognition

As we honor and pray for those who serve our country, we would like to include the names of active military members connected to our parish family in the church bulletin. If you have a loved one currently serving in the armed forces, please share their name with the church office so we may recognize them in our prayers and support them as a community.

It is imperative that names be renewed every year. Please use the button below to submit the names of your family. We want everyone to be included! We do not retain names from one year to the next.

Love and Serve Artwork

We have so many talented artists at Trinity! Check out the artwork Beverly Wissen made for our Self Study Committee. Extra surveys are next to her great artwork on the piano in the Nichols Great Hall and you can take one of the examples home if you wish.

Thank you, Beverly!

SELF STUDY COMMITTEE: LOVE AND SERVE

The self study committee will begin collecting information that will be used in preparing the Parish Profile. The profile summarizes the congregation's assessment of who we are as a community and what we collectively believe we want for Trinity’s future.  Additionally, the profile also includes a section specifically outlining the gifts, traits, and characteristics of the "Priest We Seek."

You are critical to the process!  We want to ensure that we get a wide representation of the voices in our parish!  Over the coming weeks we will hold small conversation groups to explore important questions. Sessions will be held at multiple dates and times. The sessions will be facilitated and scribed by members of the self-study committee.  At the conclusion of these meetings, they will analyze the information to build a narrative that reflects the opinions of our community.  These sessions will be held between April 2nd and May 14th.

After these listening sessions, the committee will ask that you complete a survey. This will be available by the first of June.  The surveys will be made available online with a plan to have  paper versions if needed. Please make sure your contact information is current in the Trinity office. More information about the survey process will be forthcoming.

Your participation in this process is very important.  I hope that each of you will make an effort to share your thoughts with the self-study committee.  Thank you!

We invite you to participate in one of these days/times that fit your schedule. No need to sign up, just show up at one of these times in the Nichols Great Hall:
