Cada segundo cuenta en el Manejo de una Emergencia
El pasado jueves, 24 de abril, el Comité de Manejo de Emergencias y Recuperación (MER) de la Cámara de Comercio de Puerto Rico celebró con gran éxito su evento educativo Cada Segundo Cuenta en el Manejo de Emergencias, en el teatro de la Universidad Interamericana, Recinto Metro.
La actividad reunió a un destacado grupo de expertos en manejo de emergencias, tanto del sector público como privado, quienes ofrecieron valiosa orientación a una audiencia presencial y virtual. Entre los temas abordados se incluyeron: ¿Cómo prepararse para emergencias y desalojos en el lugar de trabajo?, Salud y salud mental, Prevención de incendios y uso de extintores portátiles, Continuidad de negocios, y el caso del colapso del techo en el Jet Set Club, en la República Dominicana, entre otros.
Durante el evento, también se rindió un reconocimiento especial a los doce valientes bomberos puertorriqueños que participaron en las labores de rescate tras la tragedia en la discoteca de dicho país.

Anoche, la Cámara de Comercio de Puerto Rico y su Comité de Socios, presidido por la Sra. Joanellis Fernández, celebraron con gran éxito la tercera edición del Business After 6 bajo la presidencia del Lcdo. Luis E. Pizarro, en las instalaciones de Dave & Buster’s San Juan, ubicadas en Plaza Las Américas.
Socios e invitados disfrutaron de una velada memorable llena de camaradería y excelentes oportunidades para hacer networking. The Drone Didis are taking flight
The Drone Didis (sisters in hindu) primarily use their flying skills to fertilize crops. Applying fertilizer via drone has a lot of benefits over doing it by hand. Despite Cooling Inflation
The U.S. and European stock markets closed the month mostly up, the Dow gained 141 points, the S&P 500 edged 8.23 points, and the Nasdaq fell 14.98 points.
The session turned negative early as recession fears grew after data showed the U.S. economy contracted in Q1 to -0.30%, reversing a strong Q4, mainly due to a 41% surge in imports as companies rushed to avoid President Trump's tariffs, and late in the session, it mostly closed up. For the month, the Dow Jones fell -.315%m, the S&P 500 -1.14%m, the Nasdaq Composite -0.02%, the Birling Puerto Rico Stock Index rose 0.25%, and the Birling U.S. Bank Index fell -0.78%.
