• Nuevos incentivos tributarios para nuestro sector manufacturero que representa el cincuenta por ciento de nuestro Producto Interno Bruto [LEE MAS]

Gobernador declara emergencia por erosión costera en la Isla

El gobernador Pedro Pierluisi emitió este martes una declaración de emergencia para mitigar el impacto de la erosión costera en la Isla.

A través de la Orden Ejecutiva (OE) 2023-009, el primer ejecutivo ordenó al Departamento de Recursos Naturales y Ambientales (DRNA) a ejecutar un plan de acción puntual con el apoyo de agencias estatales y federales. Además, anunció la asignación $5 millones del Plan de Rescate Americano (ARPA, por sus siglas en inglés).

NEW FISCAL PLAN FOR PUERTO RICO

San Juan, PR – April 5, 2023 – The Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico announced that its members certified the new Fiscal Plan for Puerto Rico that defines the roadmap to restoring growth and prosperity for the people of Puerto Rico.

“The restructuring of Puerto Rico’s massive debt is largely behind us, and our sole focus now is on cementing fiscal responsibility and working with the Government in creating a solid foundation for economic growth,” said the Oversight Board’s Executive Director Robert F. Mujica Jr. “Sustainable

economic growth relies on responsible fiscal management and reforms that transform Puerto Rico’s education system, tax system, and its infrastructure. The new Fiscal Plan is a Transformation Plan that defines those reforms critical for Puerto Rico’s future and for the life of every resident.”

San Juan, Puerto Rico —Como parte de los enfoques de reconstrucción de la isla, la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA, en inglés) trabaja una alianza junto a un laboratorio nacional y dos universidades locales para apoyar el diseño de sistemas de energía resilientes para Puerto Rico.

Uno de los cambios más relevantes es la incorporación del Permiso Único, el cual consolida e incorpora trámites en una sola solicitud. Previo a la vigencia de este reglamento, un empresario necesitaba realizar entre 5 a 7 trámites de Permisos individuales para iniciar su negocio. Con el Permiso Único, solicitas varios permisos en un (1) trámite.
