Compartireron experiencias exitosas de capítulos universitarios y discutieron cómo llevar el espíritu empresarial y la innovación al campus. Ofrecieron sesiones interactivas, historias inspiradoras, Talleres de Planificación y networking. Contaron con la participación de nuestra directora ejecutiva, Lcda. Liza García.

PeaceCast TV Solicits Content for Peace Day Broadcast: PeaceCast 2023 Worldwide

CHAPEL HILL, NC - June 27, 2023 - PeaceCast TV is gearing up once again to provide and make available exceptional video content for the International Day of Peace on September 21st during its annual PeaceCast. This content will be offered free of charge via the PeaceCast TV website and YouTube channel so it can be viewed, shared, uploaded or broadcast online through local and national media outlets.

The theme of this year’s Peace Day, as announced by the United Nations, is “Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #Global Goals.” It is a call to action that recognizes our individual and collective responsibility to foster peace. Thus PeaceCast TV invites civic, corporate, educational and social entities to contribute to PeaceCast 2023 Worldwide with short YouTube videos (under 10 min.) that reflect this theme and showcase efforts to make a positive impact in the world.

FDA’s Dietary Supplements Program Remains a Critical Priority

As we announced at the start of the year, the FDA is embarking on an ambitious plan to transform our current organizational structure in the various foods programs into a unified Human Foods Program (HFP). These changes will improve how we protect the nation’s food supply, improve access to safe and nutritious foods and enhance our understanding of chemical safety and nutrition. I’d like to catch up with you to share more details about our dietary supplements program under the proposed reorganization.

U.S. Small Business Administration Announces New Cybersecurity Grant Recipients for 2023

“Cyber threats can be devastating to small businesses. The SBA’s second cohort of cybersecurity pilot grantees will help our small businesses avoid dangerous cyberattacks that can create costly disruptions to their businesses and our nation’s supply chains and digital infrastructure. The SBA’s Cybersecurity for Small Business Program leverages the full power of our state governments, territories, and institutions of higher learning to provide turnkey, timely solutions to small businesses, and I am excited to see this expansion across Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Hawaii and Wyoming,” said SBA Administrator Guzman.

Visualizing the $105 Trillion World Economy

By the end of 2023, the world economy is expected to have a gross domestic product (GDP) of $105 trillion, or $5 trillion higher than the year before, according to the latest International Monetary Fund (IMF) projections from its 2023 World Economic Outlook report.

In nominal terms, that’s a 5.3% increase in global GDP. In inflation-adjusted terms, that would be a 2.8% increase.

By examining New Zealand's success and identifying relevant lessons, we plan to present a comprehensive action plan for Puerto Rico to enhance its economic growth and competitiveness.

China, the Second largest economy in the world, is in deeper trouble than most think, and Wall Street closed up.

The U.S. & European stock markets closed marginally up, attempting to forget the losing ways of last week.

There was no significant U.S. economic data other than the U.S. Retail Gas price that rose 0.56% and is just -4.55% below last year; investors' focus turned back to interest rates, inflations, and the stronger-than-expected U.S. economic growth. 

 During the rest of the week, the attention turns to a vast array of economic data that begins with Retail sales tomorrow, followed by Exports and Imports, and much more.
