a desarrollar el capital nativo

Como resultado de las adversidades de años recientes, Puerto Rico se ha beneficiado de una inesperada inyección de miles de millones de dólares a nuestra economía. Esos fondos incluyen los correspondientes fondos federales de recuperación por la pandemia, los asegurados para el sistema de salud, la compensación de aseguradoras después de las recientes catástrofes naturales y más. El flujo de fondos es histórico y representa una oportunidad generacional para reconstruir el país. Esta lluvia de fondos viene acompañada, a su vez, de nubes que ensombrecen ciertas realidades que no estamos necesariamente previniendo, ni discutiendo abiertamente.

Gobernador convierte en ley proyecto que establece nuevo sistema digital para los proveedores de salud

La credencialización centralizada aplica tanto para los que brindan servicios bajo el Plan Vital como para los planes médicos privados

17 de julio de 2023- El gobernador de Puerto Rico, Pedro R. Pierluisi, firmó hoy el Proyecto de Administración 81 (Proyecto de la Cámara 1459) el cual propone un proceso de credencialización centralizado de proveedores de salud que brindan servicios bajo el Plan de Salud del Gobierno de Puerto Rico y los planes médicos privados, mediante la implementación de un formulario uniforme y la creación de un sistema digital centralizado para recopilar los documentos requeridos para verificar las credenciales.

Nuestra isla enfrenta enormes retos que debemos resolver juntos para llevar a Puerto Rico a una nueva era de prosperidad y resiliencia después del huracán María, los terremotos y una pandemia.Tres de esos retos son:

• Crisis de fondos de Medicare/Medicaid que enfrenta nuestro sistema de salud
• Programa de asistencia nutricional: transición vital al programa de asistencia nutricional suplementaria que proporcionaría miles de millones en nueva asistencia a la isla
• Nuevos incentivos tributarios para nuestro sector manufacturero que representa el cincuenta por ciento de nuestro Producto Interno Bruto [LEE MAS]

Biden-Harris Administration Sets Record-Breaking $163 Billion in Federal Procurement Opportunities to Small Businesses

WASHINGTON –Today, Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman announced that the Biden-Harris Administration exceeded its small business contracting goal of 23% in fiscal year (FY) 2022, awarding an all-time high 26.5% of federal contract dollars to small businesses. This historic level amounts to a $162.9 billion investment in the small business economy – an $8.7 billion increase from the previous fiscal year. Ten federal agencies earned an “A+” for their agencies’ achievements in small business contracting, and an additional ten agencies received an “A” grade. The federal government, overall, earned an “A” on this year’s government-wide scorecard.
