Legislatura termina Sesión Ordinaria sin aprobar la Reforma Contributiva

No hay duda de que el deseo y la necesidad de reducir las tasas no solamente para el sector privado sino para los individuos también era algo que veiamos con buenos ojos. Le pedimos a la Legislatura y al Liderato Político que en la próxima sesión retomen este tema como uno prioritario no solo para el sector privado sino para todo el país.

13 YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS PRESENTED THEIR BUSINESSES ON WAPA TV

Friends of Puerto Rico and their group of youth entrepreneurs from the third cohort of the SEEDS program presented their small businesses on the morning news show "Noticentro al Amanecer" on Wapa TV. The entrepreneurs showcased their businesses and had the chance to sell some of their products.

SEEDS is a youth entrepreneurship program that provides training and resources to children aged 9+ in Puerto Rico, enabling them to create small businesses using Café Ama Love sales as funding. 

Contributions from sponsors like Merck, Activus Connect, and the Ángel Ramos Foundation, purchases of Café Ama Love, and individual donations help fund the program.

Foundation for Puerto Rico lanza iniciativa

para impulsar la adopción de la inteligencia artificial como herramienta clave para el desarrollo socioeconómico de la Isla.

La entidad lanzó una exploración colaborativa hacia la adopción de la tecnología con la celebración de un panel de expertos en sus facilidades en Santurce.

La Inteligencia Artificial (IA) ha comenzado a transformar muchos aspectos de la vida cotidiana de forma acelerada, suponiendo grandes avances a través de nuestra sociedad. Conscientes del gran aporte que representa la IA para aumentar el rendimiento de las personas, empresas y la sociedad misma, como parte de su misión para lograr una transformación socioeconómica en la Isla, Foundation for Puerto Rico (FPR) se ha encomendado a iniciar una exploración colaborativa de las oportunidades estratégicas que estas tecnologías le puedan brindar a Puerto Rico.

Nuestra isla enfrenta enormes retos que debemos resolver juntos para llevar a Puerto Rico a una nueva era de prosperidad y resiliencia después del huracán María, los terremotos y una pandemia.Tres de esos retos son:

• Crisis de fondos de Medicare/Medicaid que enfrenta nuestro sistema de salud
• Programa de asistencia nutricional: transición vital al programa de asistencia nutricional suplementaria que proporcionaría miles de millones en nueva asistencia a la isla
• Nuevos incentivos tributarios para nuestro sector manufacturero que representa el cincuenta por ciento de nuestro Producto Interno Bruto [LEE MAS]

We’ve seen a lot of products in our day, but six companies that just received joint FTC-FDA cease and desist letters have earned a place in our “What The Heck Were They Thinking?” Pantheon. What did they do to merit that dubious distinction?
