Los empresarios de la Isla tendrán la oportunidad de participar de un variado programa de conferencias presenciales ofrecidas por expertos locales e internacionales, así como establecer contactos de negocios durante el próximo BizCon Expo 2022, que celebrará la Cámara de Comercio de Puerto Rico (CCPR), los días 9 y 10 de junio, en el Hotel Caribe Hilton de San Juan.

El pasado jueves 2 de junio la directora ejecutiva la Lcda. Liza M. Garcia y la presidenta del Comité Calidad de Vida la Sra. Pura “Purita” Rohena recibieron en nuestras oficinas al Capellán José Martínez con varios de sus colegas de Amor del Capellán para hacerle entrega de una aportación de parte del Comité para una de sus próximas actividades. Amor del Capellán es una organización con base de fe y sin fines de lucro y la misma está dirigida por el Policía Municipal de San Juan, José Martínez, quien, en su tiempo libre, como Capellán y junto a su Ministerio de 12 personas, realizan servicio a la comunidad desventajada.

Reacondicionamiento sísmico para 55 escuelas con fondos de FEMA
Alrededor de 55 escuelas públicas en Puerto Rico se reacondicionarán contra sismos de acuerdo con los códigos de construcción actualizados. Esto gracias a una obligación inicial de cerca de $35 millones para la Administración de Vivienda Pública mediante el Programa de Subvención para la Mitigación de Riesgos (HMGP, por sus siglas en inglés) de la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA, por sus siglas en inglés).

The Impact of Occupational Safety on Workers’ Compensation Insurance
Hazard exposures and the health and safety environment of workers in the construction industry are constantly changing. According to statistics from the National Safety Council, construction industry workers have the highest number of accidents and illnesses.
