We first want to introduce and celebrate our new student board members from Core 5, Aaron and Ceci! They spend the month preparing with other student board members to share out current events and relevant topics to our board each month, and just presented at their first board meeting last week! Thank you both for representing our community so well!

We hope to see additional families at Coffee with Kaitlin and Robin on Thursday after drop off--thanks in advance for spending time with us in this way!

Da Vinci Schools Enrollment Season for 24-25 School Year!

Opens 11/1

If you have a family member or friend interested in applying to any of the Da Vinci Schools for the next school year, let them know that our application opens on 11/1! More info can be found on our enrollment page. This also applies if you are a current family and would like to enroll an additional child!

*This does not impact currently enrolled students, EXCEPT for graduating 8th graders--8th grade students MUST submit an application for Da Vinci High Schools in order to be considered for enrollment

Make-up Photo Day + School ID cards

Make up Photo Day is 11/15 from 2:30-3:30pm on campus

If your student missed school photo day, please plan to come to campus for your student's photograph! These photographs are available for purchase, included in the yearbook, and used for printing Student IDs!

Speaking of Student IDs--they will be going home with students this week for everyone who took a school photo already! These IDs are important and should be used by students to access our meal services. Help them practice keeping their ID in a safe space!

FAN Annual Rhythm Event: Fall Festival

Wednesday, November 15th from 3:30-5:30pm

We'd like to invite you to join the planning committee for our next annual rhythm event: the Fall Festival! If you are interested and available, we'd love for you to join us in creating a few activities and experiences for our community to enjoy at this wonderful 'Harvest Season' cultural celebration. Garden Project Update!

In celebration of the Harvest Season, we are overjoyed to see pumpkins growing in our Garden! Just about a year ago, our Garden Club Student ambassadors gathered many left-over Halloween pumpkins in order to extract the seeds and test the condition of our soil. We were wonderfully surprised to find success at not only pumpkins, but also Kale, Corn, Tomatoes, Broccoli, Eggplants, and Peppers. As we prepare for our Fall Festival Celebration, we want to acknowledge our growing garden and the wonderful harvest that is occurring!

Spirit Dress Up Days!

Friday 10/27 and Tuesday 10/31

To build excitement for our upcoming Fall Festival, and for those interested in celebrating Halloween at school, we are inviting our community to dress up in costume on 10/27 and 10/31! We ask that costumes are safe for all and do NOT include masks, weapons, gore, or other inappropriate graphics or accessories. We also ask that costumes do not appropriate identities or cultures--culture is not a costume. Finally, please make sure that costumes allow for learning and play--you can pack an extra pair of regular clothes just in case! Feel free to reach out to your classroom teacher for additional information on how kids might be celebrating.

We also ask that any Halloween candy is enjoyed at home and not shared at school.
