1.YOUTH FUTSAL LEAGUES (U8-U19)

1.1 LEAGUE DATES

SESSION 1: Nov 9 - Dec 22, 2023

(No games on Thanksgiving, Nov 23-24)

1.2 TEAM REGISTRATION

Autumn Season (Nov-Dec, aka Session 1):

Winter Season (Jan-Feb, aka Session 2): Team Registration opens at the end of November, 2023

Two Conferences are offered, featuring US Soccer Futsal Certified Referees, assigned directly by a pro referee assignor!

• Ada County Conference (Boise Area Home Venues) and
• Canyon County Conference (Middleton Home Venues, other venues may be added)

Age Brackets: U8 - U19 (Male and Female)

Number of Games: 6 minimum (round robin format with a league winner)

Awards Given to League Champions!

1.3 SESSION FEES

-Team Entry Fee: $425 per team 

-USYF Player Registration Fee:

All players must register with USYF for $13.50 (annual fee, valid 1 Aug 2023- 31 July 2024).

Note: Players registering with USYF for the Autumn season (Nov-Dec, aka Session 1) will NOT have to pay again the $13.50 player fee to USYF in the Winter Season (Jan-Feb, aka Session 2).

-Referee Fees (each team pays cash before each game to Referee).

U9-U10: $12/game/team

U11-U12: $15/game/team

U13-U14: $18/game/team.

U15-U16: $21/game/team

U17-U19: $24/game/team

All our officials are US Soccer Futsal Certified!

The game of Futsal:

-Allows players to frequently touch the ball. (Up to 600% more than in soccer per match)

-Because of the heavier ball used, it tends to stay in play longer.

-Presents many opportunities to score goals and score goals often.

-Encourages regaining possession of the ball as a productive, fun and rewarding part of the game (defending).

-Maximizes active participation and minimizes inactivity and boredom.

-Reflects the philosophy of player development expressed in state and national coaching schools.

-Eliminates complicated rules such as off-sides that may hinder youngsters from "playing".

-Develops speed of play (Vision/awareness, information processing and fast technical execution).
