Earning Your Trust

There are many reasons why you can trust that your investment in the United Way of Northern Arizona (UWNA) will further our mission of creating lasting, positive changes in our region.

In addition to our exhaustive process of evaluating programs, so that your donations go where they can do the most good, we work every day to be good stewards of your funds.

UWNA recently received a "clean" audit report from Fester & Chapman PLLC of our 2023 financials, meaning our financial reporting was accurately stated and in compliance with general accounting principals.

As UWNA Board Chairman Mike Kelly said after reviewing the auditors' report, "It’s one of the reasons I’m proud to be part of UWNA, because I can feel really good about how our monies are managed."

Consistently clean audit reports and a commitment to transparency also has earned UWNA a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, indicating that UWNA "exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards" and is highly effective.

We are also a United Way Worldwide membership partner, an annual confirmation that UWNA meets the high standards set by our parent organization. This includes developing and adhering to a code of ethics for our staff and volunteers that applies to management, publicity, and fundraising practices.

It's important that our donors, volunteers, and advocates are able to have faith in both the mission and leadership of UWNA. We hope this information gives you additional confidence when you choose to step up for youth and our community through your donation to UWNA.

Thank you for Living United in Purpose!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

This Monday, January 15, is the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, which honors the civil rights leader’s life and legacy. We urge you to consider this "a day on, not a day off," and embrace the opportunity to step up and volunteer to improve your community.

As King once urged: "Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in."

Our annual campaign is continuing! Donations to United Way of Northern Arizona help local community programs and initiatives throughout Coconino, Navajo and Apache counties.

Please join us and donate today.
