Dear Friend,
Our lives are shaped by the stories we tell ourselves. And every life is a story. Each of us have our own unique narrative woven from moments of light and shadow, joy and sorrow, revelation and mystery.
It's an invitation to uncover. Not just with your mind, but with your entire soul.
In the collection of our memories, stories are like snapshots—some faded with crinkled edges, tucked away like treasures in a grandparent's cedar chest, others crisp and new, still developing. This Lenten season offers a sacred space—a moment to pause, to remember, to carefully unfold these precious images that have shaped us. It calls us to a journey of gentle uncovering, of compassionate listening, of preparing our hearts to recognize the divine presence within our most human experiences.
Our 2025 Lenten series continues with an opportunity to become "wholly present" to the stories that have formed you, those waiting to be acknowledged, and those yet to be written. Each story is sacred, a gift from God, given for our growth and healing, for simple delight and joy.
Join us on Wednesday, April 2nd, for "The Gift of Story: Finding the Sacred in the Details" with retreat leader and author Stephanie Rutt. We'll journey together through meditative chanting and reflective journaling, emerging with a new understanding of the divine gifts hidden within our personal narratives. We will use short stories and themes in Stephanie's memoir as a jumping-off place into the stories of our own lives—stories that may have something to reveal to us beyond what we may have first thought or noticed.
As the pages of life continue to turn, let yourself rediscover your story. Let your story be heard.
Lenten blessings,
Your friends at Rolling Ridge
