TSPN is thrilled to announce the engagement of leading national and local figures in the national suicide prevention movement as its keynote speakers for this year’s conference.
Thomas Joiner, Ph.D., is one of America’s leading authorities on suicide prevention. His interpersonal theory of suicide, expressed in his landmark book Why People Die by Suicide, revolutionized the clinical understanding of suicide ideation and risk. As the Robert O. Lawton Professor of Psychology at Florida State University, he supervises the university’s Laboratory for the Study of the Psychology and Neurobiology of Mood Disorders, Suicide, and Related Conditions. He is also the current editor-in-chief of Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, the nation's leading scholarly journal on suicide prevention.
In addition to Dr. Joiner, TSPN is confirming or has already arranged for several local authorities on mental health and suicide prevention to lead breakout sessions over the two days of our event. The conference will also include the presentation of this year’s Regional Suicide Prevention Awards and the statewide Madge and Ken Tullis, MD, Suicide Prevention Award.
All this programming is yours to enjoy for the low cost of $35 for Day 1, $50 for Day 2, or $75 for both. We are currently seeking sponsorships for this event, with financially accessible opportunities to promote your agency or company to our guests.
We look forward to seeing you in Nashville this September for two powerful days of testimony, research, networking, and inspiration. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities will go quickly, so make sure to make your purchases soon!
