Good Morning Spartan Families!

I am eager to share with you details of SCA’s academic outcomes from last year as well as information for two upcoming events.

The Georgia Department of Education compiles student performance data from state tests (Georgia Milestones) annually and then assigns ranking based on scores. Recall these are the same assessments students are required to pass for promotion in relevant grades. These assessments begin in third grade and continue through high school. Last school year, 2022 is the first full year assessments were required for all schools since 2019 due to the worldwide health crisis.

SCA’s students outperformed the county school system at every grade on all twenty-two state assessments! SCA Students also outscored the grade level averages for the state of Georgia on seventeen of these same assessments.

The overall academic rankings of SCA at each grade band are very high.

Elementary is ranked 4th, Middle School is ranked 1st, and High School is Ranked 2nd.

Please see the following infographic and visit our website via this link to see more details: Student Assessment Results

Additionally, our lotter application window is now open for families to apply. Currently, enrolled students do not need to reapply. The lottery application window is scheduled to close January 20th.

December 9th from 5-6:00 PM we will host Supper Conferences. For this evet families will receive an academic progress report, briefly visit with teachers, then dinner will be served in the Dining Hall. The meal will be prepared by our own school nutrition staff. You will be happy you visited and will have a taste of the nutrition team’s talent they use to prepare meals for your children each day! During the same time the Spartan Club will have a mini–Fall Festival. The festival will end at 7:30 PM.

Parents must attend all the events with their children. A survey will be sent to you Monday regarding participation so we can plan appropriately. If the Supper Conference is a success, we hope to host the event once per quarter annually.

I hope you have a great rest of the week!
