MASSES FOR THE COMMEMORATION OF ALL FAITHFUL DEPARTED ( ALL SOULS)

-      12 Noon in Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel

-      3:00 pm Healing Mass in the lower church

9- day All Souls Day Novena of Masses for our Beloved Departed

This starts tomorrow November 2, through the 10th.

You may pick up All Souls offering envelopes at the entrances of the church and chapels. Inside the envelopes are cards where you can write all the names of your departed loved ones.

These cards will be put on the altar at every Mass during the Novena and for the whole month of November.

You are welcome to enclose your Mass donation in the All Souls offering envelope and drop this in the collection baskets at any of the Masses.

Below is a digital option of the card which you can email back to SaintAntoninusChurch@gmail.com and you can send your contribution on your Zelle or as online offering. Just click image below to download the card.

Our monthly Healing Mass is tomorrow as well.

What is the Family Tree Genogram and how will we use this at tomorrow's Intergenerational Healing Mass?

The genogram is a visual framework where you write down (as much as you can recall) the names of your family members over 4 generations, living or dead, and you can specify your prayer intentions for each one.

This is highly recommended as your own prayer guide and will not be publicly shared.

Below is a copy of the genogram. You can download this form (click on image) and enter your information before you come to the Healing Mass.

Fr. Joseph will bless the Family Tree Genogram at the Mass and lead us in pleading the Blood of Jesus on our families to block transmission of the effects of sin between generations. We will also pray for the living, asking the Lord through the power of the Holy Eucharist to heal the wounds in our family that were caused by the sins of our ancestors. This can have a tremendous benefit on all our living relatives, present and future.

To better understand the spiritual necessity of an Intergenerational Healing Mass, watch two brief videos ( Part 1 & Part 2) by Fr. John Hampsch, a Claretian priest who was renowned as a treacher and minister in Family Tree Healing. He was a beloved friend of St Antoninus and used to come and preach almost yearly before he got sick and passed away in 2020.

Watch the 2 videos in "Video Lessons" section. down below.

These videos are considered invaluable teachings on intergenerational healing from a Catholic perspective.

November is the month when we pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory!

Our Catholic Faith teaches us that the souls of the faithful departed must be entirely purified before they enter into eternal rest in Heaven. We know that the souls of most people who have died in friendship with God must be purified in Purgatory.

The holy souls in Purgatory are in great need of our prayers. Scripture and Tradition tell us that the holy souls in Purgatory need our prayers, and that it is a holy work to pray for the souls of the dead who are suffering in Purgatory.

The Church views the act of praying for the souls in Purgatory with such importance that she has included this work in the seventh spiritual work of mercy: “Praying for the living and the dead.”

Let’s offer our prayers for the souls of those who are awaiting their eternal heavenly rest through this Novena for the Holy Souls in Purgatory!
