What it Means to be Among Washington's Top 100 Realtors

I'm just back from San Jose, California, where I witnessed the making of USA's women's gymnastics team for the Rio Olympics. And I must say I was completely impressed by what I saw and who I met.

But perhaps more important than the competition itself, along with meeting athletic heroes, was learning more about what makes Olympian and 3-time World Champion, Simone Biles, so successful. Biles and her coach sum it up this way: She is the kind of person who likes to enjoy the journey. She's full of laughter, but also works very hard. It's the hard work that makes her good. It's the enjoyment that makes her great.

I arrived home filled with new energy, and a new distinction to add to being a Top Producer among Realtors in the DC Metro Area. Washingtonian has named me among  DC Best 100 Realtors.

Patting myself on the back is not my nature, so I'll let you in on a little secret. Being a top producing real estate agent is possible because I work with terrific people helping them buy, sell and rent. It is possible because terrific people believe enough in me to share my name with others for their real estate needs.

It is possible because I take my work very seriously, and I work very hard to ensure I maintain the highest level of care and professionalism. But I also very much enjoy the process for each client. An experience that includes so much stress and attention to detail, should come also with a sense of joy and enjoyment. That is my belief.

In a way, I've always equated buying a home with an Olympic dream - it's a massive commitment and takes a lot of hard work to bring that Olympic dream to fruition.

And that is what it means to me to be among the best Realtors in the DC market.

Gratitude is extended to each client, each vendor - mortgage lender, home inspector, moving company - friend and colleague who shares my name, my commitment and my aim.

If information is power, my mission is to help create the most powerful consumers of real estate on the market!
