Vaccine Event This Week
31 March 2021
Friends and Members of Shadow Rock,

Holy Week Greetings! Please read this email carefully, as it has specific and detailed information about upcoming COVID-19 vaccine availability.

As a community of faith and conscience, we have long sought to use our resources in ways that benefit our neighbors and the world. To that end, Minister of Wholeness Rev. Dr. Patricia StandTal Clarke has been pursuing the possibility of Shadow Rock serving as a vaccination point-of-delivery location for several weeks.

We're excited and so grateful to announce our first community vaccine events:
Saturday, April 3 (8:30 am to 2:30 pm)
Tuesday, April 6 (1:00 pm to 5:00 pm)

These are first come-first served, no appointment required events for the initial dose and second dose of the Moderna vaccine. Per the manufacturer, this vaccine is for those 18 and older only. Our sign-in process requires photo ID to verify reporting information to the CDC. You're invited to share this information with your friends, neighbors, and family members. In addition to serving and protecting our church family, Shadow Rock leadership is partnering with Promise Arizona to do our best to get "shots in arms" in vulnerable populations. As we are able (and as our allotment of vaccine doses allows), we will continue to vaccinate on the campus beyond these two days as part of the Arizona DHS patient portal.

During these drive-through vaccine events, volunteers will assist you in the church parking lot on the days and times above. Volunteers will also assist you in providing information for your vaccination record, receiving an injection, and waiting during the post-injection monitoring period.

You may have already been contacted about volunteer opportunities for Saturday and Tuesday. We give thanks for everyone who is making this possible; it's happening very quickly! If you have questions, please email Pastor Ken or Lois or call the church office at 602-993-0050. We'll do our very best to get information and support to you.

These are the times! We are the people! Thank you for your faithful and prayerful spirit this week.
