FAFP President's Message

Last week, the CDC released its recommendation that everyone six months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness this fall and winter. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and state surgeon general Dr. Joseph Ladapo responded by stating that there is insufficient clinical evidence relative to COVID-19 mRNA shots, especially in light of reported widespread immunity. FAFP President Christy Cavanagh responds by encouraging FAFP members to remain focused on patients, not politics.
