FAFP President's Message

Last week, the CDC released its recommendation that everyone six months and older get an updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 illness this fall and winter. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and state surgeon general Dr. Joseph Ladapo responded by stating that there is insufficient clinical evidence relative to COVID-19 mRNA shots, especially in light of reported widespread immunity. FAFP President Christy Cavanagh responds by encouraging FAFP members to remain focused on patients, not politics. The Pfizer Vaccines US Medical Affairs Team invites you to participate in an educational webinar series, titled Translating mRNA, which is focused on providing education on COVID-19 and vaccination.
