Diversity Needed on the California Citizens Redistricting Commission
Here's how to apply for this important role
Every 10 years, after the federal census, California must establish new boundaries for Congressional, State Senate, State Assembly, and State Board of Equalization districts to reflect new population data and shifting populations.

This represents a huge opportunity to shape the future of our State.

You can serve on the 2020 California Citizens Redistricting Commission, a key body whose charge is to  create fair and transparent district boundaries that serve the best interests of the people of California.

We need more women and people of color to serve on this important commission!

Applications must be submitted before August 9.

The Redistricting Commission was established by statewide initiative in 2008 which transferred the power of drawing statewide district boundaries from the Legislature to a citizens commission.

This is your chance to become a part of creating fair and transparent district boundaries that serve the best interests of the people of California.
