They not only saved this grape from extinction - they became the best.

Dear Artisans,

It's time you know about Italy's two finest white wines from none other than Vietti, one of the country's greatest producers. Hailing from the Piedmont region, aka Barolo-land, both offer a unique and unforgettable experience.

Vietti's Arneis is a bright, dry, and elegant white wine that comes from the Roero area, where the limestone- and clay-rich soil gives it a complex and balanced character. It has fresh floral, citrus, and melon aromas with almond hints, and a crisp acidity that makes it perfect with whatever the heck you want to eat.

Vietti's Timorasso is a rare and intriguing native varietal that has exceptional aging and evolutionary potential. It comes from the Derthona area of Colli Tortonesi, where the biodynamic farming and the calcareous marl soil produce a wine with a savory richness and a stony texture. It has pine resin, fresh lime flower, and melon aromas, and a tangy palate with Meyer lemon and chamomile notes. This is glorious with cold-cuts, white meats, seasoned cheeses, or by itself.

Don’t miss this opportunity to taste these two amazing wines from Vietti. They are limited in quantity and high in demand, so order yours today and enjoy a sip of Piedmont’s finest!

All my best,

—James Tran

2022 Vietti Roero Arneis DOCG

Piedmonte, Italy

92 Points - Robert Parker's WA (2021 v.)

"Versatile, absolutely fresh and breezy, the Vietti 2021 Roero Arneis is a pleasure to drink. It delivers aromas of citrus, honeysuckle and fragrant pear with a hint of latex or whey (like you might taste in fresh mozzarella) that I adore. The wine ages on the fine lees to obtain its shiny texture. Try pairing this bottle with an insalata caprese made with heirloom tomatoes." - Monica Larner (6/22)

90 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2022 Roero Arneis is fresh herbs and floral with tarragon, white flowers, and white peach. Medium-bodied and revealing fresh orchard fruit, saline, and notes of basil, it has texture but surprising freshness and is really lovely at this youthful stage. Drink it over the next several years."

About this wine

Composed of 100% Arneis from vines averaging 30 years of age that grow on the limestone and clay soils of Santo Stefano Roero in Roero. After the fruit is destemmed and gently pressed, the wine undergoes a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel containers where it remains on its lees until bottling.

2021 Vietti Timorasso Derthona DOC

Colli Tortonesi, Piedmonte, Italy

97 Points, Wines of the Year - Decanter (2020 v.)

Reserved on the nose, with more citrus aromas and little lees. Delicious persistence in the mouth, it is really classy, with elegant acidity and open fruit expression. It is textured and oily, and has the Piedmont purity - an austere mountain wine.

94 Points - James Suckling

"A beautiful Timorasso with salted caramel, sliced mango, pear and apple aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Bright and vivid acidity at the end. A lovely combination of ripe fruit and wild, crisp acidity. About 30% aged in ceramic. Drink now."

About this wine

This bottling is the newest addition to the Vietti portfolio. Hailing from northern Piedmont, Timorasso has long been thought an interesting native varietal with exceptional aging and evolutionary potential.
