This week NJ Realtors® launched a member-wide call for action asking you to send Gov. Murphy a letter urging him to sign A-6206, legislation that clarifies the right for real estate agents to work as independent contractors in NJ. This issue is a top priority for the association which is why we're asking YOU to take action ASAP.

Time is running out to apply for NJ Realtors® 2021 Circle of Excellence Sales Award®. All applications, along with required proof material, must be submitted online and approved by the broker/office manager by Jan. 10, 2022, at 5 p.m. ET. NO exceptions!

Applications that are not submitted or approved cannot be reviewed and will not be eligible to receive the award. There are no exceptions or appeals to this rule.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Office and Division on Civil Rights issued a new version of its housing discrimination notice.

The NJ Real Estate Commission requires that licensees, at the time of taking a listing for a residential property, provide the property owner a copy of this mandatory notice to comply with the NJ Housing Discrimination Laws. Click here to download the new version.

A-6206, which protects independent contractor status specifically for real estate agents in NJ, was unanimously approved by the State Senate and Assembly late last month, but still needs to be signed by Gov. Murphy.
