Your Gifts Transform the Future

Casa donors like you are amazing! Every day, our community comes together to stop the cycle of abuse and neglect. Every day, you give families a chance to succeed. When you give to Casa, you are forever changing the lives of families like foster sisters Deanna and Tiffanie, and their children.

These young women started life without stable family, friendships, or community to rely on in times of crisis. They were young mothers with small children trying to escape domestic violence. And when they asked for help, Casa donors stepped up.

Right now, our Matching Star donors are TRIPLING donations to Casa. For every $1 given, they are giving an additional $2! Your gift today will ensure a safe home for children, and a chance for parents to transform their lives and provide their children with a better future, just like you would want for your own kids.

Deanna and Tiffanie’s tenacity and HOPE for a better future for their kids has been their strength. Donors like you gave them the tools they need to support them on their journey.

"I love Casa De Esperanza! When we had nowhere to go, they opened their doors to my children and provided resources that we are still receiving to this day. It was hard being apart from my babies, but they made the time bearable. We went from homelessness to a fully furnished apartment and I’m currently completing my GED. Thank you!” -Deanna

Holiday Donors Give Kids

Lifetime Memories and Magic!

Planning for the holiday season at Casa started in August! Our amazing donors came through for 325 children this year, including kids who had been reunited with family, those in permanent placements, and kids currently in foster care. Donors brought toys, pajamas, car seats, diapers, gift cards and so much more! Thank you for your overwhelming generosity!

What is one thing we can’t tell just by looking at you?

One thing you can’t tell by looking at me is that spirituality guides my life.

Why did you decide to come to Casa de Esperanza?

I came to Casa de Esperanza to explore a life of service.

What is one thing you learned since arriving at Casa de Esperanza?

Every day I spend with the children, they show me something that I did not see before. It changes my perspective through small things. I have learned to put my wants aside for a larger purpose.

Rockets Surprise Visit

Recently, friends from Kroger, Aaron Holiday of the Houston Rockets, his wife Ashli, and their family visited the Casa neighborhood to gift a foster care house with a brand new refrigerator and air fryer, and stocked the fridge and pantry with groceries from Kroger!!! It was so special to receive this gift. Many of the children we care for have experienced food insecurity and often did not know when their next meal would be. The Holiday family also invited our kids and staff to join them at an upcoming Rockets game! We are so grateful for this partnership and generous donation!

Dear Erika,

There is so much good in the world and in the Houston community, and the holiday season puts this on full display. As visitors arrive, donations come in, and gifts are distributed, the busy-ness of this season is evidence of the community supporting and loving our kids. Thank you all for your generosity and care.

Children come to Casa de Esperanza in great need and, for some, this will be the first time they will experience the joy of Christmas morning. The families participating in our programs face challenges that many of us could not imagine: chronic under- and unemployment, the threat of eviction and homelessness, and food insecurity. Thanks to your generosity, our children and families will have love, enough to eat, clothing, gifts and holiday joy this year.

As 2023 comes to a close, we honor Governing Board members Jacquelyn Cox and Kathy O'Neil for their years of service as they transition off of the board. We also express our immense gratitude to Ben Brown who, with great heart and energy, served as Governing Board President through COVID and leadership transition. Our Governing Board members are truly appreciated for their commitment to our mission.

Thank you for helping us provide HOPE to children and families in 2023. Your investment in the mission of Casa de Esperanza means that children are safe and families are strengthened.

On behalf of everyone at Casa de Esperanza, I wish you a joyous holiday season and a Happy, Healthy New Year!
