July Opportunities
Your Voice Matters:
Residential Treatment Needs
This is an opportunity for parents, families, and tribal representatives to understand more about the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Expansion Project. The PRTF Expansion Project will expand access for youth in Idaho who need residential care which will be accomplished through the 15 million dollars recently set aside by the Governor and Legislature.

Parents, families, and tribal representatives are invited to learn more about The PRTF Expansion Project. Attendees will have the opportunity to express what they see as needs to inform the requirements for funding.
Experiences of Families Using Crisis Services
for their Child, Youth or Young Adult
Families can help inform the planning and delivery of crisis services by completing a national survey describing their experiences accessing behavioral health crisis services for their child under age 24. Mental health or substance use crisis services include law enforcement, crisis hotlines or text lines, mobile crisis teams, walk-in centers, and hospital emergency departments. All responses are anonymous.

The survey is being conducted by the Family-Run Executive Director Leadership Association (FREDLA), the Institute for Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and the Maryland Coalition of Families.
