Dear St. Rose School Families:
If the halls seemed a little quieter this week it's because our 8th graders became official graduates and therefore SRS alumni last Saturday. It was a beautiful Mass/Commencement ceremony that showcased the many talents and contributions the Class of 2019 shared with our school through the years. We are grateful to them, their parents, families and all of the teachers who shaped them in to the promising young men and women they have become. They are prepared for this next chapter and we wish them God's blessings.
What an eventful week it has been! Our 4-year-old and Transitional Kindergarten students graduated; we celebrated our RAMS Runners at theTrack Banquet and our Kindergartners graduated. Seventh grade entertained us with a delightful performance of
Romeo & Juliet
and we took to the great outdoors under sunny skies for Field Day where many of our 8th graders returned to help.
Our last school Mass of the year was very special. It was the Faculty's turn to be readers and gift bearers and we were all privileged to witness the Baptism and First Holy Communion of Sixth grader Lily Fagan. In addition the SRS Class of 2015, who recently graduated from High School, joined us for Mass and a breakfast reunion in the Gathering Hall. We love our alumni and encourage them to stay connected. Following Mass we recognized our Honor roll students for a job well done. And special congratulations to Savanna Cicarelli who achieved perfect attendance this year.
As I look back on our first year together I am grateful for your partnership and the trust you place in me and our Faculty. As you know, I am a big believer in Catholic education -- as both an educator and a parent. Your children are thriving and we are delighted to be partners in this journey.
Thank you to our hard working HSA Board, School Advisory Board, Parents and Faculty -- your commitment to St. Rose School is such a blessing. I am also deeply grateful to Monsignor Bob for his leadership and commitment to us. This school has been built on the faith and dedication of so many and we can only move forward with your help. We have a rich history and a bright future.
The Faculty, Staff and I are overwhelmed by your generous outpouring of gifts. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts; we cherish you all and consider ourselves very blessed.
Summer Bridge work information is now available on the website. There are links to each grade. If you have any issues, contact [email protected]. Also, please take note of the 2019-2020 calendar for important dates to remember, especially as we return to school. There will be a Kindergarten Orientation on August 22nd and a Preschool orientation on August 29th. The first Home & School Association Meeting/Back to School Night, which includes visits to the classrooms, will be September 12th.
I wish you all a fun, relaxing and adventuresome summer. We will be working diligently to ensure that when the doors open August 28th we are prepared for a brand new and exciting year of education, enrichment and engagement. Your children are our top priority.
God Bless,
Mr. Bardhyl Gjoka
