Weekly Update July 31, 2019

The summer is half way done, and back to school sales are now showing up every where. There's still plenty of time to have fun before the start of school, scroll down for the events we'll have in August. Having grown up when school didn't start until the Wednesday after Labor Day I feel badly for the kids as if they are being cheated of half the summer! Having raised my kids when school didn't start until September I FEEL cheated, summers were LONG then lol!

August will be a very busy month for the Center. We've 4 Fundraisers!

On August 16, 2019 we will hold our second Annual Wild About Wine event at Southwick Zoo. This is an adults only event, and this year we should have more time to visit the zoo as there will be more daylight. You can walk through the zoo or take it in through a Skyfari ride. There will be hors d'ouvres and wine to taste and a cash bar. Raffles, a wine grab and adult company! Come enjoy an evening and support your Center. Register by clicking the link above.

August 18th we'll be in Falmouth, cheering on Team HARC as they run the New Balance Falmouth Road Race. If you'd like to donate to one of our runners visit our website's page for this event .

On August 23rd we will hold our anual Tee Up for Autism Golf Tournament at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club. This annual event helps raise the funds we need to make events like the holiday parties and Summer fun activities happen. There are only seven spots left to fill the field so if you have a foursome act quickly , if you are a single golfer and want to meet new people register and we'll create a team for you! Call Wanja at 508-298-1607 to register.

Last but not least the whole month of August we've another kid friendly, way you can support the Center. Froze Zone, located at 184 West Boylston St in West Boylston, will donate $1 for every item purchased in August when you present the flyer below. Do you like ice cream ? Try Gelato, it's to die for! Staff from the Center will be at Froze Zone for lunch on August 14th. Come on and join us and meet friends before the kids go back to school.

In the worst timing ever , but out of my control, I will be out the month of August  and part of September practicing self care, I have a few issues I need to address. It's important to take care of ourselves first so we can take care of others! I expect to be back in September, and I leave the Center in the capable hands of the staff. Have a great rest of the summer and an awesome start to the new school year !

Sue
