School Supply Drive

Hayward Wesleyan Church is partnering with other churches in the Hayward area, along with the Rotary Club, to collect (new) school supplies for Hayward Intermediate School. Some families cannot afford to buy new school supplies for their children, so let's do what we can to help! A collection bin is located in our foyer.

Please bring supplies by August 18.

Basic school supplies (NEW):

Notebooks, pocket folders, #2 pencils, crayons, dry erase and regular markers, Elmer's glue, black pens, pencil boxes, highlighters, scissors, backpacks).

Brianna Huckabee is holding a Breakfast Fundraiser in the gym this Sunday morning, August 18.

She is raising funds for her training for Youth With a Mission.

Youth Group starts on Wednesday, September 4 @ 7:00 pm

We are pleased to announce that recently our church board extended an invitation to Lisa Oetken to join the pastoral staff at Hayward Wesleyan Church as pastor of Hayward kids! Lisa was a youth intern here at HWC for eight months back in 2006 while in bible college. Lisa has enthusiastically accepted the role and she and her family (husband Jeremy, girls Eliana, Kaitlyn & Hannah) are laying out a timeline for their arrival in Hayward. This is great news for every kid in Hayward and we look forward to welcoming Lisa to the team!

SIMON’S SURPLUS food distribution is Saturday, August 31 @ HWC

Doors open at 9:30.  Each “share” is $25 and primarily produce (half shares are $13). All are welcome to participate.  More information or pre-pay at this link.

Looking for ways to get involved in serving? Here are 2 ideas:

Childcare for Celebrate Recovery --Our CR ministry would like to start providing childcare on a regular basis. Many folks who are in dire need of this recovery ministry are unable to come at all or on a consistent basis because they don't have a safe place or dependable people to care for their kids. If you are interested in serving in any capacity with childcare for CR, please email or call Deb Proctor (715-558-1431).

Washing Windows --Our Trustees would like to enlist volunteers to wash all the windows at church. This could be split up into different groups of volunteers.....small groups, friends, whatever. If you are interested in getting a group together to wash some of the church windows, please email or call Deb Proctor (715-558-1431).
