New Sermon Series "Just Don't"

Beginning May 22 - June 5

We’ve been on a journey through the Sermon on the Mount. We now reach a point where Jesus makes some statements that are very clear…. Of what not to do. For 3 weeks we will unpack what Jesus tells us not to do and we will discover that in not doing these things we will become the kind people He wants us to be.

BUILDING RENOVATIONS
After 25 years in our current building, Hayward Wesleyan Church is ready for a facelift! For the past 3 years, conversations have been happening in our church board, staff, and in listening sessions, about some possible and needed renovations. The board has prioritized a list of projects, including upgrades to: sanctuary and sound system, restrooms, foyer, gym, theater room, playground.
Why do this? The answer is two-fold: Stewardship and Mission
How much will it cost? We estimate the total cost of these renovations will be approximately $183,000. The good news is, because of planning and saving, in addition to being blessed recently with some large gifts towards these projects, we already have a good balance on hand and will need to raise only about $50,000. With God’s help, we can certainly raise these remaining funds!
We invite you to give. 1 Corinthians 9:77—“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
We invite you to engage. Some of this work will be hired, but there will be much work that can be done by volunteers.
For more details on this renovation venture, please visit www.hwc.church/renovations.
At Hayward Wesleyan we believe that we're not created to go through life alone! Small groups at HWC exist to connect people to Jesus and to one another. We have many small groups meeting at different times and locations throughout the week. If you're interested in joining a small group, please go online at hwc.church/groups and fill out a short survey. You will be contacted soon after so we can help you find the group that's right for you! You can also call the church office and ask for Pastor Ryan.

Celebrate Recovery Ministry would like to begin providing childcare and simple meals for the groups participants on Tuesday nights.

If you or your small group are interested or would like more information please contact Deb at 715-558-1431

Celebrate Recovery will now begin meeting at 5:30pm to share a meal together prior to the large group gathering beginning at 6:00pm.

A date has not been decided, but if your interested in helping, please contact Linda Gerich at [email protected] or 715-558-5046.
