Boston - Boston Lights: A Lantern Experience Nightly, through Sept 7: Thurs - Sun, Sept 8 - Nov 1: 6 - 10:30p, Franklin Park Zoo. Experience the wonder of over 50 magnificent displays comprised of hundreds of beautifully crafted lanterns spanning Franklin Park Zoo's 72 acres. The first of its kind in New England, our lantern experience will dazzle and delight guests of all ages!
We invite you to walk (socially distanced, of course) through a luminous 66-foot-long shark tunnel, dramatic entrance arches, radiant flower gardens, and traditional Asian lantern scenes. Glimmering butterflies, whimsical ocean scenes and a majestic 197-foot-long dragon will light up the night sky. Little entertainers can even make their own music on a giant step-and-play piano! 

Boston - Virtual Group Hypnosis for Stress Relief and Empowerment Sun, Sept 6th, 10:30a. Have you been struggling with an increase in stress and anxiety in the midst of these uncertain times? Join us as we tap into the subconscious to calm the chaos and find your center. From the comfort of your own home, relax and allow yourself to be guided on a hypnotic journey to tap into your inner power and peace. Hypnosis is a gentle yet powerful method that uses the power of your vivid imagination to affect profound change. Participants regularly report feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed after a session. This event will be conducted online via Zoom. For the best experience, participants should have headphones, and a comfortable place where you can sit or lie, with your head supported, and will be undisturbed for about an hour. Boston - Virtual Planetarium: The Sky Tonight - #Livestream Fri, Sept 4th, 2p. Join us for this free live presentation of #MOSatHome MOS Live as we bring the museum to you! Are you curious what is up in the sky? What IS that really bright object in the west? Come learn from one of the Museum's very own planetarium educators what you can search for in the nighttime sky right from your own backyards! 

Boston - USS Constitution Museum Now Open, 10a - 4p. All exhibits will be open to explore with markers on the floor to help maintain the recommended six-feet of physical distance. While some elements have been temporarily removed, such as the hammocks and play food, you will still find several of your favorite hands-on interactives and all of your favorite artifacts to enjoy.
New to the experience is one-way foot traffic throughout the Museum. The final stop in the experience is our Museum Store – the largest on the Freedom Trail! Staff are also still available to answer questions and bring USS Constitution’s history to life behind a plexiglass station.
Boston - Virtual Jamaica Plain Garden Tour Daily through Fri, Sept 18th. The Jamaica Plain Garden Tour, now in its third year, is a key fundraiser for the Trustees’ network of 56 community gardens in Boston. Generally a self-guided walking tour that winds through a section of JP, highlighting beautiful gardens, this year’s tour is a virtual one that features a sampling of exceptional gardens throughout the neighborhood as well as interviews with their owners. This year’s sites range from a productive urban homestead complete with chickens to professionally designed formal gardens. Join us and be inspired by an array of gardens from the comfort of your home, while supporting food access and open space!

Duxbury - Duxbury's Mayflower Sunday Sun, Sept 6th, noon - 3p. Church bells will ring across Duxbury beginning at noon to honor the day Mayflower set sail from England 400 years ago bringing 102 passengers to the New World, 18 of whom eventually helped settle Duxbury. Sponsored with Duxbury 2020 and the Duxbury Interfaith Council. Morning church services around town will explore "1620 Relevance today." That afternoon Alden House Historic Site hosts an open house with the authors of the newly published book "Duxbury Our Pilgrim Story," guided walks and tours of the Alden family home.

Easton - Outdoor Adventures in Nature: Nature Shaping for Pre-K! Fri, Sept 4th, 10a. We are excited to be able to get outside for some fun at Sheep Pasture! Join NRT staff for an hour-long outdoor class at the Sheep Pasture property on September 4th. Participants will have fun exploring nature trails while engaging in an exciting activity adapted from Project Learning Tree! Children will practice identifying different shapes and colors in their natural environment. The class is open to children ages 3 and up, as well as adults. Individuals or families are welcome! Registration of $10 per person is required; each individual must register for a space, including both adults and children. Anyone of any age that is not registered may not attend the class. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. To register multiple family members at the same time, please add the number of people who will be coming as "quantity" during your checkout; all registrations must be completed online. Once a space has been purchased for a class, the payment is non-refundable and not transferrable to other dates. Classes are planned rain or shine, and all participants are encouraged to use insect repellent, as classes take place outdoors.
Pre-registration is required; registration will end no later than the day before the class at 4 pm, or when capacity has been reached, and walk-ins will not be available at the door.

While you’re here, take a walk on one of our many farm trails and experience all that we have to offer! Tours are offered for groups every half hour. Middleborough - NRP PRESENTS "COUPLES THERAPY" Fri - Sun, Sept 4 - 6 & 11 - 13, 5 - 7p.
Enjoy a pre-dinner summer show at the Oliver Mill Park. Amidst the ruins of the old mill, actors will perform four One Act Plays. Bring your chair and your mask! NRP is beyond excited to be able to present Couples Therapy! A series of One Acts to enjoy for a summer afternoon, perfect as a before dinner excursion. Directed by Jeff Gill and featuring some familiar faces you've seen perform with NRP before, you'll be entertained among a tranquil and safe setting, with social distancing observed. This year has had its challenges so we hope you'll come escape and laugh with us!

Middleborough - "JAZZ ON THE PATIO" AT THE ALLEY THEATRE Sun, Sept 6, 12:30p - 2:30p. A Patio Pop Up outdoor dining event is happening at 147 Centre St next to The Alley Theatre downtown. The event will feature pizza from The Cental Cafe with a full menu take out option, a cash bar, and live music from a Jazz Trio featuring Tim Maxwell on drums, Bobby Margitich on piano, and John Baptista on bass.
The bar opens at noon The trio goes on at 12:30p. Sugggested cover is $20 pp. Parking is available at the Middleboro Town Hall or behind the old Benny's. Parties of 6, 4, or 2 may reserve tables. Pizza & drinks sold separately. This event is weather permitting. Reservations required. Seating is limited. Guests will be expected to wear masks until seated. Six feet of social distancing will be practiced at the patio entrance during check in. Hand sanitizer will be available on the tables and on the bar. Servers will be provided for table service. Middleborough - Soule Homestead Although Covid-19 has impacted many of our programs, you are welcome to visit Soule. We also have one bathroom open daily. Plymouth - Sunset Stroll Sat, Sept 6th, 6p. Set out on a guided late summer stroll and experience the sights and sounds of Tidmarsh in full light and then the golden hour as the sun begins to set. We will enjoy the beauty of the setting sun from our overlook and listen for wildlife that begins to emerge as the light fades and night begins to take hold. This program is only open to 10 pre-registered participants. A detailed confirmation letter with meeting location will be sent prior to the program date. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the program for check-in. Participants will be required to wear a mask or face covering during the program. Social distancing measures will be put into place. Noncompliance will result in ejection from the program.

Plymouth - Pilgrim Graves on Burial Hill Sat, Sept 5th, 1p. Due to public health concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic, the September 2020 Burial Hill Tour has been canceled as an on-site event, but will be presented virtually. Discover the resting places of the Pilgrims in an exploration of Plymouth’s ancient burying ground with Stephen O'Neill, Executive Director of the Hanover Historical Society and Senior Lecturer, Suffolk University. Visit the Plymouth Antiquarian Society's Facebook page or Pilgrim Hall Museum's Facebook page to tune in for the live broadcast. The video tour will be saved on the pages for later viewing as well. Burial Hill: History in Progress is a free program presented by the Plymouth Antiquarian Society in collaboration with the Pilgrim Society & Pilgrim Hall Museum. This series of themed history expeditions on Burial Hill, one of America's oldest and most significant burying grounds, is usually offered on the first Saturday of every month.
