The Medievalism and Fantasy Film Series

Tonight, Jan. 26
|
Join the Department of Languages and Literature for our film series on Medievalism and Fantasy Films. We'll begin with Ron Howard's lively Willow (1988) on Jan. 26, move to the idealized medieval England of John Boorman's Excalibur (1981) on Feb. 23, descend into the gritty heroism of John Milius' Conan the Barbarian (1982) on March 23, and conclude with Peter Jackson's genre shifting Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring (2001) on April 20.
All films are free and open to the public and will be shown in JWLA 112 (Portales Campus) at 7 p.m., followed by discussion. Light refreshments will be served at each film.
