In Memoriam of Our Beloved Brother Ed Evans Brother Ed Evans loved and served the Lord Jesus Christ as a faithful member of  Greenforest Community Baptist Church. Bro. Evans joined our community of believers during the pandemic and immediately began to serve in our food pantry with our monthly grocery giveaway team & with our Evangelism Team. Bro Evans had a heart to serve and love. His time at the Forest may have been short, but we know we serve a faithful God. Bro. Evans has been called to his heavenly home, and eternal rest. As a faithful member of Greenforest Community Baptist Church, we know the Lord has spoken "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Your GCBC family extends our condolences to the entire Evans family. We love and will miss you, Brother Evans and we bless God for a life well lived. Greetings Greenforest Family, This month begins our final phases of the Pastoral Selection Process. We are now down to three (3) candidates.  Our first candidate is scheduled to visit Greenforest on Wednesday, July 19th for Evening Bible Study; Saturday, July 22nd for a Q&A Session; and he will preach Sunday, July 23rd.  A more detailed itinerary is forthcoming. Health & Wellness Survey In collaboration with Morehouse School of Medicine’s Preventive Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Kelechi Anyanwu (“Dr. A”) is conducting a Health & Wellness Survey for all GCBC members, 18 years & older, to gather information about the health needs, knowledge, and health behaviors of members at GCBC. The survey is entirely anonymous & takes 10 minutes to complete. Your response is appreciated and essential in helping Morehouse know what kinds of health program intervention would be beneficial to GCBC members.
