WHAT’S NEXT? PANDEMIC TRANSITIONS
Virtual, In-Person, or Both?

June 18, 2021
12:00 PM to 1:30 PM
Via ZOOM

Join us for a “lunch time” Zoom Meeting to discuss the practical, clinical, ethical, & emotional factors related to Tele Mental Health vs. returning to in-person sessions in our offices. When is it time to re-open? What is right for you? What do you need to move forward successfully and transition comfortably?

CT, NASW, and CDC Guidelines will be reviewed.  Issues that have impacted social workers in private practice during this crisis will be included. Various action plans will be identified and options to help make decisions and manage stress as related to transitions will be discussed. This workshop is focused on social workers in private practice but the content is equally valuable for those returning to agency settings.

The workshop will be presented by Sherry Cohen, MEd, LICSW who has been in full time private practice in Newton, MA since 1990. Sherry received her MEd from Lesley University and her MSW from Boston University and has worked as a teacher, an administrator, and a clinician in a variety of settings. She is the former chair of the Newton Human Rights Commission as well as former Chair of the NASW/MA Nominating Committee while presently active as the co-Chair of the NASW/MA Symposium Program Committee. Sherry is the recipient of the NASW/MA 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award.
