What's the WORD with MKTYP?

Historic Changes Happening to MKTYP!

As many of you know or have heard, our program has been going through some significant historic changes in time for our 55th year at Brandeis' 75th anniversary. It's time to celebrate because Brandeis and MKTYP have finally heard all of our voices during the Spring '22 External Review! MKTYP is changing from a non-credited program to an accredited program so students can graduate in four years, meet Brandeis Core requirements, and be less in debt.

The Myra Kraft Transitional Year Program (MKTYP) is now officially the Myra Kraft Achievers Program (MKAP)! So look out as we all start to transition into these new program changes. Brandeis University continues to be proud and committed to our program's enduring legacy and contribution to the campus community for these past 55 years!

Congratulations to Lily Pineiro, our Newly Promoted MKAP Academic Advisor!!!

We are pleased to announce that Lily has been officially promoted to the role of MKAP (formerly MKTYP) Academic Advisor and Administrator of the Gen One Network!

As everyone knows, this is a well-deserved promotion for her 7+ years. We are all deeply appreciative to Lily for everything that she has done for MKAP and AcServ.

Mentors/Mentee Pair Up

As many of you know, each year we have a Mentors/Mentee Meet and Greet (Margarita's dinner outing last year). This is an opportunity for MKTYP student alumni to meet, guide, and advise the new incoming class paired based on a common interest, your field of study at Brandeis. This year as we begin planning and preparing for this amazing opportunity, please be on the lookout for a personalized invite from our new graduate assistant Hannah Watson. We are excited for you all to meet the new students!
