Upcoming Events
Developmental Disability (DD) Awareness Month

Monday, March 1st - Wednesday, March 31st

We "ART" all in it together to raise awareness of people with developmental disabilities. Our creative community has not had much of an opportunity to share their work during the pandemic, so we invite all to emerge from their blankets and TV to create something special for our online DD Awareness Month art showcase!
WHO: Anyone of any age with or without a developmental disability.

WHY: To celebrate Developmental Disability Awareness Month.

WHAT: Any art! A few examples may be painting, sketching, knitting, photography, pottery, or jewelry. But, we are open to anything!

WHEN: Monday, March 1st - Wednesday, March 31st

WHERE: All artwork will be showcased via email with our 2020/2021 Membership and on our social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

DUE DATE TO SUBMIT ART: Friday, February 26th, but SPACE IS LIMITED! Please complete this online form to reserve your spot as soon as possible! Rather reserve your spot over the phone or want to join the waiting list? Contact Erica Dennison at 720-213-1420 or at to do that.

DELIVERY OF ART: Once you complete this form, Erica Dennison can arrange a date/time for you to drop off your art at The Arc of Aurora by Friday, February 26th. Art can also be U.S. mailed to The Arc of Aurora at 1342 S. Chambers Road, Aurora, CO 80017.

THE GOOD STUFF: All artists will receive one (1) $5.00 voucher usable at any arc Thrift Store as a thank you for submitting their work.

WANT TO DONATE YOUR ART? Artists can choose to donate their art to The Arc of Aurora to be auctioned off in our annual Online Auction in May!

All artwork is needed by Friday, February 26. Complete this online form to reserve your spot now.

Policy Profile
What happened, and what is planned for the future!
Maybe you were very interested in the 2020 election, or perhaps you couldn’t stand to hear one more campaign ad. Either way, it was a divisive election season, and the 2020 Election is over! The Arc of Aurora is looking forward to working with all elected officials to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) get what they need when they need it. We have shared with you helpful resources on what happened and what to expect moving forward.

Spotlight On
Holiday Season Donors

Holiday and Thanksgiving Projects
The Arc of Aurora's 2020 Thanksgiving Project filled 128 place settings with food, and our Holiday Gift Giving Project provided gifts to over 120 Members. THANK YOU to all who impacted the lives of children and adults with I/DD and their families during the holidays!

Colorado Gives Day
We had our most successful Colorado Gives Day yet and raised more than $7,200! We thank everyone who supported The Arc of Aurora as part of our seventh Colorado Gives Day campaign on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. 
Training and education
THINK+change is The Arc of Aurora’s training and education program that strives to change knowledge, attitude, and behavior to ultimately improve the quality of life for people with I/DD, their families, and the professionals in their lives.
