VT Secretary of State Office Releases First Civic Health Index
The Vermont Secretary of State’s Office has released its inaugural Civic Health Index, showcasing Vermont’s community engagement strengths. Vermont ranks 5th nationally in informal helping and 2nd in public meeting attendance. The report also highlights challenges, such as only 59% of youth intending to register to vote, despite 70% participating in community groups. Recommendations include expanding civic education, improving inclusivity, and investing in arts and culture to build on Vermont’s strong civic foundation.

Vermont 2025 Minimum Wage Increase
Starting January 1, 2025, Vermont's minimum wage rose from $13.67 to $14.01 per hour, marking an increase of $0.34. This adjustment also applies to tipped employees, with the "Basic Tipped Wage Rate" set at 50% of the full minimum wage, which comes to $7.01 per hour.

Family Place Benefit Concert

Funded by grants and donations, the project ensures long-term affordability through a shared-equity model. Alongside this, Twin Pines is advancing senior and condo housing projects to meet the Upper Valley’s housing needs.
