In early November, East Bay business leaders toured Contra Costa’s Northern Waterfront. Participants learned more about economic development initiatives in Hercules, Martinez, Bay Point, Byron, Brentwood, Oakley, Antioch, and Pittsburg.

City and county representatives discussed their plans to create more jobs, housing, and transportation connectivity throughout the region. While their strategic advantages differ, all share a commitment to making the Northern Waterfront a thriving hub for residential, recreational, commercial, and industrial uses.

Supporting HelloFresh Employees

Amid Layoffs

unemployment benefits

The WDBCCC partnered with the Richmond Workforce Development Board to support 600+ employees of HelloFresh's Richmond facility as the company prepared to close the location in October. In particular, the WDBCCC partnered with other agencies to conduct sessions at the HelloFresh facility to help workers understand available resources for laid-off employees.

At the WDBCCC, we provide a wide array of layoff and outplacement services for employees and employers.
