Don’t miss this great Memorial Tournament July 16 – 16 at the historic Chickasaw courts honoring Arthur Lloyd Johnson, Jr. who was the second African American Democrat elected to the Kentucky General Assembly, serving from 1964-1965. He was a high school teacher with the Jefferson County Public Schools and was also first violinist with the Louisville Civic Orchestra.

He was the former vice president of the Mid-Western Tennis Association, a Kentucky Tennis Hall of Fame member, a Louisville Central High School Hall of Fame member, and a member of the West Louisville Tennis Club. Registration will open soon.

Congratulations to Shaju Catherin for being named the winner of the 2022 USTA Foundation National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) Essay Contest for Kentucky. All state winners in the section received an all-expense paid trip to Atlanta, where they were recognized at the 2023 USTA Southern Annual Meeting.

2023 LEVEL 5 JUNIOR EVENTS

In 2022, the tournaments that were most popular and experienced the largest growth in the nation were Level 5 events. Kentucky is allocated 4 of these tournaments to host a year. Mark your calendars!

CHEERS TO 10 YEARS!

The Pavo Loco tournament is March 3-5.

The format utilizes a coed team format at their respective USTA level (3.0-4.5+). Each team match will consist of three doubles matches – one court of men, one court of women and one mixed doubles.

Captains, register create a team in TennisLink Leagues.

Play will begin at approximately at 6 PM Friday, March 3rd.

As a reminder, Pavo Loco is a registered 501c3 non-profit! 100% of the net proceeds will be donated to Kids Cancer Alliance. Over the last 9 years we have generated over $80,000 in net proceeds and hope to build on this success in 2023 and beyond!

This session will provide an overview of what Serve Tennis is and what can be done using the system. The aim of this session is to get you thinking about what Serve Tennis can do and how it can help your CTA!
