In light of “spring” and the time change, we spring forward. It's a good time to spring forward with God in the fullness of “spring”.
Isaiah 43:19 NIV
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Sometimes in order to come into a new season and spring forward in faith, we have to let go of the old season.
Isaiah 43:18 NIV
18 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
We can't spring forward if we are bound to the past. It's a good time to let go of past hurts, past struggles, and past relationships that hold us in bondage.
God always has someone ready to move His plans forward. CHANGE in the hand of the CHANGELESS God is always safe and secure. Change is a part of God’s plan to accomplish His will. It is wrong to stop moving forward because we don’t like change.
Samuel didn’t like it when Saul was rejected as king, and it mourned over it. God asked him just how long he planned on mourning over Saul. God already had a plan in place with a young shepherd boy named David. Samuel was having a hard time letting go of the past to spring forward with God.
As spring starts to emerge and the trees begin to bloom, we can see God’s reminder to align our hearts to the new thing He’s doing.
While some things change, the mission, the goal and God have not changed! We can’t afford to live in the past or become bogged down in the present. We must embrace the future!
