DOD Will Help Small Companies Meet Cybersecurity Requirements
In moving forward with the implementation of its new cybersecurity requirements, the DOD announced in December that it will help small businesses comply. The undersecretary of defense for acquisition and sustainment said the DOD will find innovative ways to help small suppliers become cyber secure in the coming months.
Did you know that 43 percent of cybercrime around the world is targeted at small businesses? The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has created Cyber Essentials, a guide which includes cybersecurity best practices for small businesses.
World Trade Center San Diego is now accepting applications for 15 companies to participate in MetroConnect V! Benefits of this program include a $5,000 export assistance grant, discounts on international air travel, PR and marketing support, and more. The deadline for applications is January 24, 2020.
