Welcome to a New Year!

We are so excited to begin a new year of religious education! Parents, thank you so much for all you do to raise your children in the practice of the Catholic faith! We are blessed to be able to work with you and assist you.

Service Opportunities

Fall Yard Work Help: There are parishioners who need help with leaf removal (1 credit).
December 16, 6:30-7:45 pm: Childcare help needed for an Advent Reflection (1 credit).

Mass of Enrollment for 7th Gr.

The Mass of Enrollment for 7^th grade students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation will be Nov. 10 at 6:45 pm. This is a special evening where the 7^th grade will receive the Catechism of the Catholic Church and commit to preparing for their last Sacrament of Initiation.

Please have your student arrive at 6:30 pm so they have time to sign their name before Mass. Parents and sponsors should be present at the Mass (you have a part)! If you have questions, please contact the Religious Ed Office at 659-8556/[email protected]

Other Events

On March 19, we are inviting 6th-8th grade students on a pilgrimage to the Bl. Solanus Casey Center in Detroit to learn more about the "Saint from Detroit." This is a faith credit opportunity for those preparing for Confirmation. Permission slips to be sent closer to the event.

Parents of 7th graders are asked to attend an information meeting regarding the process of preparation for Confirmation on Oct. 10 at 7:15 pm or Oct. 11 at 6:30 pm in Angel Hall.

All eighth graders who are receiving Confirmation this April must turn in their Sacramental Information Sheet as soon as possible. This vital sheet of information is in your Confirmation Handbook. It can be turned into your teacher or dropped off at the office. If you have any questions, please call Erin at 659-8556.

A date for Confirmation 2022 has not been set yet. When the Diocese of Lansing sends us the date, we will let you know. Confirmation will be at St. John Vianney, Flint this year.

This video focuses on Confirmation, explaining the connection to Pentecost, the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit that deepens and perfects baptismal grace, and the mission that accompanies reception of the Sacrament.
