A Message from Our President
Greetings and salutations Southeast Chapter members, I hope everyone had a great summer! I am very honored to continue to serve as the Chapter President for the next 2 years. I look forward to new opportunities and new training events.
Our 2021 Municipal Wet Weather (MS4) Stormwater Conference was held in person June 7-9 in Huntsville Alabama. The conference was well attended and a great success. The IECA Municipal Wet Weather Conference is recognized as a key stormwater industry conference. We had thought-provoking presentations from industry leading speakers, the annual EPA Update (virtual) and an excellent in person field tour. The conference was hosted by IECA and the Southeast Chapter and our supporting partner was the Alabama Stormwater Association. Our Conference Gold Sponsor was Foley Products Company, and the field tour was sponsored by Woolpert.
As we continue to experience the COVID-19 pandemic and new variants, I regret to inform you that we have had to cancel several of our in person fall training events. Please visit our Chapter website for activities still scheduled. www.sec.org
The 2022 IECA 50th Anniversary Annual Conference & Expo is scheduled for February 15 - 18, 2022 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Please make plans to attend and I hope to see you all there!
I would like to thank Mr. Ted Sherrod for his service to the Southeast Chapter. Ted stepped down from the North Carolina State Representative position this year. Ted has been a dedicated member of the Southeast Chapter and has been integral in our mission of providing training opportunities throughout the entire chapter geographical region. Beth McLaughlin was elected to replace Ted as our North Carolina State Representative.
Please remember that we are here to assist you in your unique education needs no matter what the climate is. The Chapter continues to have many great training events scheduled, so please visit our webpage to view the schedules and dates. Remember to check the webpage periodically so you do not miss out on any of our outstanding educational opportunities. Also, IECA Members receive a discounted rate on all virtual courses in the IECA eHub (https://ehub.ieca.org/), and also have access to the free member library of courses.
If you have any comments, questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or the other Board Members.

We’ll also be giving away scholarships to the Chapter’s MS4 conference and the IECA annual conference during the happy hour. Could you be one of the lucky recipients?
