A Message from our President

Happy October, everyone! Your organization and your board has been hard at work for you this Fall.

Welcome to our new Executive Director, Kelly Scobbie!!! Kelly comes to us with many years of experience in the nonprofit world. She has great energy, great ideas, and a great passion for our mission. Please check out her welcome letter below and please say hello the next time we see you at an event. The Board is very pleased to have her join us. And thank you to the Hiring Committee that worked so hard vetting many qualified candidates. With Kelly, we got the best for you!

The beginning of the month saw over 100 of us, members and guests, descend upon Breakfast Hill Golf Club for the Annual Fall Golf Tournament. It was a great day; picture perfect with great golf and great fellowship. A great big Thank You to the Committee for all their hard work in putting the day together. We raised a lot of money for a great charity. Find out more about this when you join us in November at the Holy Grail. You can sign up below.

November brings us another transition: a new board! Join us at the Holy Grail as Eastern Propane hosts one heck of a great party. We have the Senate President, Senator Sharon Carson joining us as well. We have some wonderful board members who are ‘retiring’ and some great members who are joining our ranks. We are very excited for all of the years of service given to us and we are excited for the new energy joining us. I’ll have more for you about the Board in our next letter, my final one as your President.

And don’t forget our Holiday Party in December. Mark your calendars for this wonderful, year-end celebration of our wonderful members and their guests. The Holiday Committee is already hard at working building what will be a wonderful night to remember. Sign up early as we will sell out this great evening.

It goes without saying that your Board is very proud to serve you. And we are confident that Kelly, our new Executive Director, will serve you well too. We take great pride in our membership and are so grateful to so many of you who sponsor, volunteer, and participate in our organization: you make us great. Thank you!

Meet our New Executive Director: Kelly Scobbie

We’re delighted to welcome Kelly Scobbie as our new Executive Director! With more than a decade of leadership in nonprofit and community-focused organizations, Kelly brings a deep commitment to mission-driven work and a strong track record in strategic growth, program development, and resource stewardship.

Kelly recently relocated to New Hampshire from the St. Louis area, where she served as Assistant Executive Director for LINC, Inc., a Center for Independent Living in Swansea, IL. There, she oversaw a wide range of services supporting individuals and families with disabilities.

Prior to her time in Illinois, Kelly spent most of her life and career in the metro Atlanta area. She led countywide environmental initiatives as Executive Director of Keep Hall Beautiful in Gainesville, GA, following five years of board service while working as Special Events and Program Manager for Hall County Parks and Leisure. Her diverse background also includes roles as Membership and Marketing Director for a country club and Co-owner of Absolutely Fabulous Events.

Kelly’s career reflects a consistent dedication to growth, education, collaboration, and community impact. Whether she’s building partnerships, streamlining operations, or brainstorming the next big idea, Kelly leads with compassion, joy, and vision.

Now that she’s raised two amazing, independent young adults, Kelly and her husband Jason are embracing their new life in New Hampshire—gardening, Jeeping, and exploring the state’s beautiful outdoor spaces. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, creative projects, and spending time with family in their new seacoast home.

Kelly is thrilled to join the Southern New Hampshire Home Builders and Remodelers Association team, serving an industry she’s passionate about in a state she’s proud to call home.
