A Message from our President
Happy Summer, everyone! With warm weather here to stay and our members working long hours to build our great state, it couldn’t be a better time to be building and remodeling in the Granite State.
The legislative session in Concord went very well for the NH Home Builders. We scored a great number of victories for our members and our customers. Lots of lobbying, long hours, and more reading than one would wish for have made sure that building in the Great State of New Hampshire will be easier and more cost effective in 2026 and beyond. The Government Affairs Committee as well as the State Staff did great work and stayed laser focused on our top priorities. We are grateful to our team as well as to our great Governor, Kelly Ayotte, and the members in the House and Senate who supported and championed our causes. These wonderful people have made sure that we have an even better process in place to tackle the housing crisis that is gripping our state. We are making every opportunity for our members so they can help build us out of this housing shortage. Thank you for all your efforts!
As busy as we are, it’s important while the sun is shining to take some time to get together, connect, and say thanks. A great time to do that is at our Member Appreciation Event that is being held this year on August 6th from 5:30 to 7:30PM at the Flag Hill Winery in Lee. Tickets are on sale now and it’s going to be a great evening of food, drink, games, and fellowship. Please consider taking a brief pause in the summer craziness and join us for some fun. Fall Golf Update: teams are signing up quickly as are sponsors for our Fall Golf Tournament on October 1st. This year’s event will be held at the Breakfast Hill Golf Club in Greenland. It’s a gorgeous, 18 hole championship course with great facilities. The Committee has been hard at work to finalize some pretty awesome contests, games, and prizes. Don’t delay signing up as this event, like our Spring Tournament, will sell out. There are some player spots and sponsorships still available.
Lastly, I wanted to update you on our organization: Southern. Your Board has been hard at work and started with a visioning meeting in late May. We followed that up with another meeting in early July to talk about our organization and where the future is for us. I’m proud to tell you that the future is bright and that we have some wonderful new programming and other great things headed your way. We know, as your Board, that it is an honor and pleasure to serve you, but also a responsibility. We continue to work hard each month by coming up with new ideas and evaluating our programming so we can provide the best value to you. And you respond by your continued support. Thank you!
