A Message from our President
First off, a HUGE Thank You to Kirsten Schultz of Marketing Ally for teaching our members about AI, Canva, and all things marketing for our businesses. She lead a great seminar on April 2nd that was very helpful as our attendees learned a lot. Thank you for your time, Kirsten, and thanks for supporting our organization!
Now I have some good news and some bad news…..
Bad News: the Spring Golf Tournament is SOLD OUT!! I told ya! This is going to be an amazing day on the links on May 13th at the ever-beautiful Passaconaway Country Club. Guests will arrive at 8AM and we’ll have a shotgun start at 8:30. It’s going to be awesome.
Good News: there are still some sponsorships available! Please reach out directly to Lisa for availability as we shut down the online registration when we filled up with golfers. This means your sponsorship dollars will go all the way with a full course of golfers. It’s a great way to meet fellow members and promote your business. Peter Dolloff and his Committee have come up with many budget friendly ways to get your name out there, so reach out to Lisa directly and she’ll get you set up. We can’t wait to welcome our golfers and sponsors to a fantastic day on the links!
The Legislative Session in Concord is full steam ahead. As I mentioned, there are more than 150 pieces of legislation dealing with housing. That’s a lot! The Government Affairs Committee along with Matt Mayberry, our CEO, and his team are working very hard to make sure the good bills pass and the bad bills don’t. Matt has also been working with Governor Ayotte’s office to build some great relationships with the state departments and agencies that our members interact with in order to foster better communication and therefore better outcomes for everyone. I attended a great meeting with the DOT in Exeter last week where we had a great discussion about process improvements the state has been working on. It is nice to see how the state team really wants to help our members and improve their process to improve outcomes. It’s ‘business-like’ thinking from a state agency and that’s good stuff. A big Thank You to Matt and the team for putting these events together. When we can get all the players in a room to talk things out, great things happen. I know I speak for many on the GAC as well as on the Board when I say how grateful we are to Governor Ayotte for turning her campaign promise to address housing into action. Thank you, Governor!
And all of these great things only happen because of you, our members. Thank you for supporting your Board of Directors, Lisa our wonderful Executive Officer, and Matt and the entire State Staff. With your engagement and financial support, we are making a big difference to solve the housing crisis in New Hampshire. Cheers to you!
